Vision & Values
We believe it’s important to know where a church is going before you commit your life to a people and a place. Our vision and values drive who we are, and they are the “why” behind all that we do.
We use a tool called a “Vision Frame” (pictured below) to help us intentionally move ahead.

Core Values
(Left Portion)
Our values shape and inform our identity as a body of believers.
These values are all undergirded by Christ’s example, and we strive to reflect Him well in every area of life and ministry
Fundamental Transformation
Jesus changes people, and when we experience His transformation, it changes us from the inside out.
outrageous hospitality
Jesus cares for our needs, big and small. We show His love by caring for the needs of others–even before they are aware of their needs.
Leadership Multiplication
Jesus knew His time on earth was limited… so is ours. To make the greatest impact, we need to continually empower and raise up new leaders.
willing sacrifice
Jesus laid down His comforts and rights for our good. We also lay down our priorities and preferences so that others can hear and respond to the gospel.

Overflow’s Mission
(Right Portion)
At Overflow Church, we are saturating our community with the overflowing love of Jesus. We say this each week, but it’s more than just a quote or a mantra. It’s who we are.
This mission was inspired by Jesus’ example in John 4, where He went to Samaria to meet a woman whose sin had brought rejection and condemnation from her community. As Jesus spoke with this woman, He told her that He gives living water that will become an overflowing well of water springing up for eternal life. And as Jesus revealed that He is the promised Messiah, the woman was miraculously changed! She ran back to her community (the very people who had rejected and condemned her) to tell them that they too need to meet this Messiah!
We want to follow Jesus’ example by going to people, loving them the way Jesus loves them, showing them the beautiful gift of life that Jesus gives, and help them go tell others what they have experienced through Him!
DISCIPLESHIP STRATEGY

KNOW
The first stage of our discipleship process is designated by the word “know” and the symbol of a rain cloud. This is the beginning of someone’s journey of following Jesus. Someone in this stage is typically learning a ton about God, the Bible, and what it means to follow Jesus for the first time.

GROW
The second stage of our discipleship process is designated by the word “grow” and the symbol of a glass of water.

SHOW
The third stage of our discipleship process is designated by the word “show” and the symbol of a fountain.

GO
The last stage of our discipleship process is designated by the word “go” and the symbol of a waterfall.
